About Excellence In Wallcovering

Early in my career, I learned that proper wall preparation is the key to the success of any installation. We take great care to create a properly prepared surface while keeping the project as clean and dust-free as possible.

Dust control is especially important in an occupied home. Fine sanding dust can travel through air vents and settle into cracks, draperies, furniture, and other fabrics throughout the home. It can also affect indoor air quality and create respiratory concerns. To minimize this, we proudly use the Festool Planex dust-extraction sanding system for our wall preparation.

We use Roman’s R-35 primer and Benjamin Moore 067 white-pigmented primer, depending on the wallcovering being installed. We always follow the manufacturer’s specific instructions because preparation requirements vary with different types of wallcoverings.

Some European and specialty wallcoverings require a lining paper. This allows moisture from the adhesive to dry back into the wall rather than migrating through delicate wallcovering materials and potentially affecting the finished surface.

My work has been featured twice in D Home Magazine, and I have completed two projects in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House.
